Position Overview:
Dor Chadash seeks a part-time (with possibility of full-time) Development Specialist to join our growing, dynamic organization. The Development Specialist will report to the Executive Director of the organization. He/she will be responsible for developing and executing a fundraising platform consisting of cultivation and solicitation of individual donors, grants and foundations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
2-4 years successful relationship management experience in development/fundraising with ability to demonstrate tangible track record of fundraising and direct solicitation successes.
Fundraising experience in the Jewish non profit world is a must, including writing proposals, solicitations, and donor cultivation
Working knowledge or connections to Jewish family foundations and individuals is preferred
Familiarity with Israel-related causes highly desirable
Self-starter with ability to take initiative, and to work independently as well as with the organization’s staff, volunteers, and board of directors.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Familiarity with GiftWorks a plus
