More than 1,500 people gathered to celebrate Israel’s 62nd birthday on Monday, April 19 at Terminal 5. The Yom Ha’Zikaron portion of the evening included remarks from Israel’s Consul General Asaf Shariv and New York City Council Speaker, Christine C. Quinn. The Yom Ha’Atzmaut celebration then started with a riveting live concert by Israeli reggae stars Hatikva 6, and music by DJ Ilan Henig and musicians Didi Erez and Guy Wittenberg. View photos.
Salute To Israel Day Parade
On Sunday, May 23rd Dor Chadash joined thousands of New Yorkers and marched in the Salute to Israel Day Parade in honor and celebration of Israel's 62nd year of independence. Marching with their own private DJ, playing the latest Israeli hits, Dor Chadash energized the one million enthusiastic spectators who gathered to watch the American and Israeli community leaders proceed up Fifth Avenue.
